Grin and bare it

 

After much patience watching all of her friends lose their first tooth (and often their second or third), Miss Lucy finally, finally lost her first tooth. She wiggled it faithfully, loosening it up until the dentist was able to whisk it right out. (She was there getting a filling anyway.)

She lost the tooth playing with it in the car ride back from Santa Fe, so she wrote the Tooth Fairy a note explaining how she lost her tooth twice (once out of her mouth, and once in the car) and placed it in her tooth pillow. The Tooth Fairy understood of course, and left her a wonderful reward. Miss Lu was so thrilled that she even wrote the Tooth Fairy a thank you note and left it for her the next night....
